@penguinspark is excited to announce the roll out of the Acad­emy of Early Child­hood learn­ing online makeover.

The Acad­emy was look­ing for a way to inter­act with peo­ple inter­ested in any­thing related to child­care & pro­vide use­ful infor­ma­tion to par­ents of the Academy.

The Com­pre­hen­sive Plan

@penguinspark cre­ated a com­pre­hen­sive inte­grated plan. The plan focuses on an infor­ma­tive web­site that inte­grates with Face­book and Twit­ter. Every­one is dif­fer­ent and prefers to inter­act in dif­fer­ent ways. This plan allows par­ents to stay up to date wher­ever they pre­fer to be on the Inter­net. At the same time it demon­strates the qual­ity of the Acad­emy to poten­tial par­ents rather than sim­ply tell them how good they are through a web­site. Peo­ple believe what you do, not what you tell them.

Their cur­rent web­site was a sta­tic web­site built solely for mar­ket­ing. It did not pro­vide any use­ful infor­ma­tion for cur­rent par­ents. We adjusted the focus of the web­site to appeal to cur­rent par­ents rather than pro­mot­ing the busi­ness to poten­tial par­ents. The web­site now pro­vides the par­ents with:

• Weekly menu’s
• Upcom­ing field trips
• Monthly class­room newsletters
• Monthly at home par­ent­ing tips

Face­book

Acad­emy Face­book Page

A Face­book page was cre­ated so par­ents could stay in con­tact in an envi­ron­ment a lot of them already spend time in. They can be eas­ily updated on sched­ule changes and impor­tant infor­ma­tion with­out leav­ing Face­book. We tied the Face­book account into the web­site so peo­ple can rec­comend arti­cles and even become a fan of the Acad­emy from the website.

Twit­ter

We cre­ated a Twit­ter account to pri­mar­ily reach out to par­ents that do not have chil­dren in the preschool. They will pro­vide infor­ma­tive tips, funny things that hap­pen in the school, and answer gen­eral par­ent­ing and child­care ques­tions. Their tweets will also dis­play on the web­site so even if par­ents don’t have a Twit­ter account they can still eas­ily see the tweets.
